Valluri Annapurnamma

Among the several elderly inmates at our home, comes the heart wrenching story of Valluri Annapurnamma. She came to live with us on August 24, 2000 and is 89 years old now. After having faced the plight of a deceased husband for over 40 years, she lost two of her three daughters. The third daughter also abandoned her old and frail mother. She started relying on her adopted grandson and saw a ray of hope in him. However, it turned out that he too abandoned her after taking up all her property. Not only that, he abused Valluri mentally and physically before forcing her out of her own house. She sought her home and comfort in the Dwarakamai Seva Trust.
